About the School

We are a welcoming, vibrant two-form Sikh faith primary school in East Leicester, offering places to 420 learners aged 4-11 years. Our school welcomes children from all backgrounds, with at least 50% of our places open to non-Sikh children.

The school draws on the teaching of the Sikh faith and is committed to providing not only an academic education, but one that will also encompass an underlying message of unity, equality and respect.

We encourage high morals, discipline, love, compassion and selfless service towards all regardless of faith, gender or colour. Falcons School embraces a universal, inclusive approach to spirituality.

We welcome pupils from all backgrounds and beliefs who are keen to adopt our inclusive ethos and commitment to learning. We respect all faiths and ask that our pupils share the same empathy for others’ beliefs.

Buildings and Site

Falcons Primary School opened in October 2014 in the grade II listed 'George Hine House' on Gipsy Lane, near Humberstone. A former NHS building, it was converted and extensively refurbished to accommodate the school with the building retaining many of the original features.

A new building was added in 2016 and the school has several playgrounds plus a wildlife area containing mature trees, a storytelling area, a willow tunnel, pond and more.

In partnership with The Rotary Club of Leicester Novus who provided funding and practical support, we created a Peace Garden which offers a calm, contemplative area for pupils, staff and parents.
