Attendance

Good attendance is vital to ensure that children are in school and ready to learn. We value the support of parents in making sure that children are in school and arrive and leave on time.

If your child is absent from school due to illness, it is essential that you provide us with an adequate explanation by telephone: 0116 451 0050 before 09.00am and followed by medical evidence. Please try to make dental and doctor appointments for after school.

The Headteacher of a school is no longer allowed to authorise absences of any kind except in absolutely exceptional circumstances.
